Children’s Day – A Celebration of Childhood Without any Boundaries!

Childhood is such a beautiful thing!

Untouched by all the weight of the world, children have this uncanny ability to brighten our day, see the good in the world, and imagine anything is possible. Chubby cheeks, rolls of extra love, blunt honesty and questions galore are a few traits to describe children.

Children give us so much; they allow us to witness the miracle of beginnings of life and growth.  Children are our teachers – they teach us to be selfless, humble, and compassionate. They are the sun-rays in this dark world that we need to remember to appreciate.

Celebrating Children’s Day!

In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November as the day marks the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter and independent India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was one who used to spend most of his precious moments with children and their innocence.

This is a day to engage in fun and frolic. But it is not just that, this day reminds everyone to renew their commitment towards the welfare of the children and to teach them to live by ‘Chacha Nehru’s’ ideals. And for us grown-ups, it is an occasion to imbibe the qualities of childhood.

The real essence of this day is to understand the importance of childhood in our lives. The principles and disciplines learnt as a child are responsible for what he or she becomes in the future, thus childhood should be celebrated. This day is a reminder to all the adults about children’s right to enjoy their childhood without any boundaries and to be given basic education for a better life.

Beyond the larger traditions and events, we should also celebrate the everyday moments.

  • Mastering the monkey bars
  • Building a block city
  • The awe of a butterfly shedding its chrysalis
  • Solving the weekly crossword
  • Helping a friend in need.

These are the delightful flowers along the earning path, and we should stop to savour them every day. There are many exciting events being planned to make this day more fun for the kids, take your pick from the best in Hyderabad and Bangalore.
